Thank You, for exploring R.O.S.E.S. Mentoring! R.O.S.ES. was establish in 2018 at Apex Academy in my 7th grade classroom. I have two amazing daughters Kennedi and Kyndal which inspire me daily to be extraordinary. This phenomenal program is dedicated to my Grandmother Mrs. Susie W. Houston. She is my Superhero!
Our Services:
Program Implementation
Our program will be offered twice a week for 2 hours, R.O.S.E.S. is looking to accept 20-25 young ladies from the ages of 12-17 to enter into the mentoring program from the community. Some of our session topics are about Self Love, Self Esteem, Social Media: Benefit or Distraction, Mental Challenges and Trauma and the importance of Proper Hygiene.
Mentoring Goals
Learning, developing, and delivering high quality mentoring services
● Promoting Diversity and inclusion amongst the mentors and mentees
● Increasing Engagement and retention of mentors and mentees
● Strengthening Leadership development skills in mentees and mentors
● Building a better culture related to civic engagement & community service
● Connecting with organizations with shared value
Mentee Requirements
- Each mentee is required to have community service involvement which includes volunteering to serve the homeless, reading to youth, community clean up, teen summits, youth conferences at Tri-C with Youth Advocacy Leadership Coalition and participating in clothing drives at homeless shelters, or an approved community service of their choosing.
- The program places service to others as its core value in order to improve the connectedness and social engagement of each mentee involved.
